Russian (RUSS)

RUSS 121. Basic Russian I4 Units

Description: For beginners. Basic grammar, with practice in hearing, speaking, reading, and writing.

RUSS 122. Basic Russian II4 Units

Description: For beginners. Basic grammar, with practice in hearing, speaking, reading, and writing.

RUSS 123. Intermediate Russian4 Units

Term Typically Offered: Occasionally Offered

Prerequisite(s): RUSS 122 or equivalent.

Description: Review of grammar. Practice of the language through oral and written exercises. Reading from representative literature or from cultural selections.

RUSS 200. Study Abroad1-15 Units

Description: Participation in a University of Louisville study abroad program or another program undertaken with prior approval of the Department. Credit is awarded with proof of successful completion.

Description: Practice in reading Russian and development of conversation skills. Also vocabulary building, grammar, culture, writing. Conducted primarily in Russian.
