The University of Louisville is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, bachelor, master, specialist, doctoral, and first-professional degrees (D.M.D, J.D., M.D.). The University of Louisville also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.

Questions about the accreditation of the University of Louisville may be directed in writing to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097, by calling (404) 679-4500, or by using information available on SACSCOC's website (sacscoc.org).

The DMD, Dental Hygiene, and Postgraduate programs of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry are also accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association.

CODA will review complaints that relate to a program’s compliance with the accreditation standards. The Commission is interested in the sustained quality and continued improvement of dental and dental-related education programs, but does not intervene on behalf of individuals or act as a court of appeal for individuals in matters of admission, appointment, promotion or dismissal of faculty, staff, or students.

A copy of the appropriate accreditation standards and/or the Commission’s policy and procedure for submission of complaints may be obtained by contacting the Commission at the address or phone number listed below.
