The minor in Conservation Biology is a science degree designed to teach students the issues and ideas of conservation biology and to prepare them to use these concepts in the workplace. These concepts include the study of how environmental processes affect life on Earth and how humans are influencing these processes. An additional focus is on understanding the impacts of relevant current events on the environment and biodiversity, and ways to best alleviate stressors on the environment. Students with this minor are prepared for careers in the lab or field as well as consulting with companies and/or the media on environmental preservation.

The minor in Conservation Biology is open to all students not majoring or minoring in Biology at the University of Louisville.
