Program Requirements

The Minor in Industrial and Systems Engineering program is meant to supplement another Bachelor's degree program. The Industrial and Systems Engineering minor is available to all University of Louisville students who meet the Admission Requirements for the minor.

Industrial Engineers (often referred to as "System Engineers") are Systems thinkers and problem solvers. The majority of roles utilizing Industrial and Systems Engineering skills require training in one or more of the following areas: (1) statistical analysis, (2) experimental design and data analytics, (3) process improvement, (4) process innovation, (5) simulation and optimization of systems, and (6) product/system life-cycle planning.

For admission to the Minor in Industrial and Systems Engineering, students need to be in good standing of their program.
