Program Information

Supply chain management is a core function of every global, national, and regional business and offers a growing career path. Global supply chain management involves active management of an organization's supply chain activities and relationships across international borders to maximize customer value and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. It involves planning how the entire supply chain will function as an integrated whole, and includes management of the flow of goods, data, and finances related to a product or service, from the procurement of raw materials to the delivery of the product.  Supply chain managers are responsible for managing costs, improving efficiency, and mitigating risks throughout the supply chain. The major in Global Supply Chain Management empowers students with the critical thinking and business skills necessary to lead businesses and address 21^st century global supply chain challenges. The industry-aligned degree program incorporates co-operative experiential learning, a focus on emergent technologies, and the depth of a 27-credit-hour in-person major.

New Students and Transfer Students

Admission to the College of Business ensures admission to the BSBA in Global Supply Chain Management.

Current Students* - Admission in Good Standing

Students must have both:

1. Earned a 2.8 cumulative GPA (students with an established UofL GPA may not include grades for coursework at another institution in consideration for admission); and
2. Completion of MATH 111 College Algebra - QRQR  (or equivalent) or completion of MATH 180 Elements of Calculus - QR

General Education Requirements

All degrees require the completion of the University-wide General Education Program (link provided above).  Some General Education requirements may be met in the requirements for the major or supporting coursework, in which case additional electives may be required to complete the minimum hours for the degree.

College/School Requirements

Total of 53 includes 3 credit hours of ECON and 3 credit hours of MATH that are also counted in the 31 Gen Ed hours above.
