Asian Studies (CERT)

Admission Requirements

Interested students must have earned a baccalaureate or other undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university, and meet the criteria for admission to the Graduate School at the University of Louisville and submit a graduate application.

Individuals wishing to pursue the graduate certificate in conjunction with a graduate degree program in another University of Louisville department should be admitted to that degree program before applying for admission to the Graduate Certificate Program in Asian Studies.

Program Requirements

Select five of the following (at least three must be at the 600 level)15

Topics in Asian Art 1
Topics in Asian Studies-Humanities 1
Topics in Asian Studies-Social Sciences 1
Clash of Civilizations in the 21st Century
U.S. and Vietnam
Women in East Asian History
Civilizations of Ancient and Medieval India
Civilizations of Modern India
Nationalism and Modernity in East Asia
Minimum Total Hours15
