The Distilled Spirits Business Certificate is a program that consists of nine (9) credit hours. It aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of managing business operations in the distilled spirits industry. The curriculum, by design, covers various aspects of business functions such as marketing, finance, and operations, among others. The program emphasizes the interdependence of different business functions and how they operate.
The College of Business collaborated with industry experts to design a curriculum comprising six highly focused, 1.5 credit-hour courses. These courses equip prospective and new employees with the necessary background to work in the industry's business operations.
Students can take the Distilled Spirits Business certificate in conjunction with the MBA program. For students accepted into the MBA program, it will count towards fulfilling elective requirements in the MBA curriculum.
Admission
Students must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited university with an undergraduate GPA of 2.0 or higher to be admitted to the program.
GMAT/GRE scores are not required for admission to the certificate program.
A graduate application is required.
Note: Students who desire to complete an MBA in conjunction with the Distilled Spirits Business certificate must be separately admitted to the MBA program.
